Caroline Corbett is an accredited counsellor and psychotherapist with a special interest in working with adolescents, adults, and couples. She supports clients through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, burnout, and low self-esteem, among other concerns. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative, tailored to meet each client where they are. Caroline draws from a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness, and other complementary modalities.
She has specialist training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples, supporting partners to navigate emotional disconnection, conflict, and patterns that impact intimacy and trust through greater understanding and compassion. In her private practices in Mullingar and Kilcock, as well as online, Caroline works with individuals and couples seeking to build emotional resilience, deepen self-understanding, and create healthier relationships. She is known for providing a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and supported in working through life’s challenges.
Earlier in her career, Caroline worked extensively with children with autism, ADHD, and other additional needs, supporting their integration into mainstream schools. She collaborated closely with families and educators to develop personalised behavioural and emotional support plans, work that continues to inform her understanding of neurodiversity and emotional development, particularly in adolescents. Caroline was also contracted by Foróige to provide therapeutic support to children in both primary and secondary schools, helping young people manage stress, anxiety, and emotional regulation in the school environment. She continues to volunteer as a psychotherapist with the Dublin Simon Community, supporting adults facing homelessness and addiction.
Caroline’s holistic approach to therapy reflects her commitment to continuous professional development, with a particular focus on the mind–body connection and how somatic practices alongside talk therapy can enhance emotional healing and long-term well-being.
